Established in 2011 in London, and recently launched into the US market, Johnny Foreigner a boutique Freelance Directors’ Agent with a solid reputation of trustworthy advice and leading directorial talent. We represent independent Directors for TV commercials and branded content in the UK and as of recently, in the US too.

Our clients are Production Companies and integrated Ad Agencies who hire our Directors on a freelance basis. All our Directors are personally vetted and interviewed by our MDs so our clients know they will work with Directors we trust. We have Directors of every genre; both established and emerging. Only 10% of applicants to Johnny Foreigner make the roster which allows us to enjoy the premium reputation that we have earned over the years.

The US market is helmed by Managing Director and Agent Darrin Lee. Darrin has over 25 years of production experience in the advertising industry, having had the pleasure of producing for  award winning Directors at MJZ, Anonymous Content, O-Positive, Hungry Man, B-Reel, Tool, Furlined, Missing Pieces, Accomplice Media and Wondros. His connections to Directors and Agency- and Production Company Producers in this market are second to none.
